Caillebotte (IRE)  Questioned re tactics rider stated instructed to obtain position with cover just off speed. Added after beginning on terms with runners drawn inside was reluctant to press forward as concerned would be forced to race outside leader without cover and elected to restrain to shift in and improve inside ESKIMO KING, which would result in settling in position one out and one back. When attempting to restrain it commenced to overrace proving difficult to restrain allowing ESKIMO KING to shift in obtaining his intended position, as consequence forced to settle further back than anticipated.   Gold Coast  6/02/2016 
Ekofanidea (NZ)  Rider questioned tactics adopted - stated after beginning well was of the opinion that GROBBELAAR was going to take up lead however, after GROBBELAAR was slow to begin and he had begun well found himself in lead unopposed. Rider noted trainer indicated stable confident of forward showing due to heavy conditions. Trainer confirmed not intention to lead today and noted with no early speed was able to obtain lead of own accord.  Gold Coast  30/01/2016

Torbay  Slow to begin. Short distance after start hampered by RED HOT DAZZLER, which shifted out. Rider questioned re performance - stated from wide barrier elected to take up position rear of field, similar successful tactics adopted at previous start. Rider added then travelled comfortably throughout and leaving 700m improved into race on back of MILITARY LADY. Rider added despite efforts peaked on run passing 200m and failed to finish race off as expected. Rider of opinion both 60kg impost and heavy track conditions detrimental to overall performance. One Grey  When questioned as to the seemingly improved performance Trainer B Guy stated that similar instructions to lead had been issued at its last start, however, on that occasion the gelding was unable to cross other runners to the inside and as a result raced 3 wide throughout. Mr Guy also noted that the gelding was down in class today and was able to cross to the lead easily and dictate terms.   Gold Coast  16/01/2016 
Royal Scribe  Rider questioned re disappointing performance - stated the gelding raced strongly in the early and middle stages however, when asked to improve leaving the 500m failed to respond and proved disappointing. Trainer was of the opinion that the gelding failed to handle today's soft track conditions. Vetted - no abnormalities.   Gold Coast  6/02/2016 
Talon Lady  A post race veterinary examination revealed it had bled from one nostril. Connections were advised that the mare must perform a 1000m gallop before stewards prior to being permitted to start again.   Ipswich  3/02/2016

Destined for War  Questioned re performance - rider stated mount raced keenly in lead throughout the race and as a result weakened over the final 200m. Whilst it had won over a similar distance last start, when displaying racing manners evident today failed to runout the 1200m.
