Eight Verses When afforded the opportunity to comment on the performance, jockey Cassidy stated that it was not his intention to lead, however as the mare was first-up today from a spell and as a result raced greenly, he was reluctant to restrain as this may have resulted in the mare overracing fiercely. He therefore was content to take up the lead. My Firecracker Began very awkwardly, was bumped and then threw its head up abruptly resulting in its rider becoming unbalanced in the saddle and it losing considerable ground. Gold Coast 28/01/2017

Craiglea Rio Slowly away after beginning awkwardly. Inclined to race greenly down the running. Mackay 10/01/2017
Craiglea Patience Delayed the start when difficult to load. Trainer was advised that a warning will be placed on the filly’s barrier manners. Townsville 17/01/2017
Princess Cavallo Blundered shortly after the start and dislodged its rider. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have skin off the nearside hock. Following the event J. Answered Slow to begin. Questioned re performance - rider stated attempted to improve passing 800m however, horse forward of him failed to take him into the race as anticipated and unable to shift out passing 600m due to runner positioned to his outside. Disappointed in performance as failed to respond over final 400m and in his opinion failed to handle wet conditions Gold Coast 10/09/2016
