When afforded the opportunity to comment on the performance, jockey Cassidy stated that it was not his intention to lead, however as the mare was first-up today from a spell and as a result raced greenly, he was reluctant to restrain as this may have resulted in the mare overracing fiercely. He therefore was content to take up the lead. He added that the mare was disappointing over the concluding stages, however indicated the mare was first up from a 6-month spell and would take benefit from today's event.

Slow to begin. Questioned re performance - rider stated attempted to improve passing 800m however, horse forward of him failed to take him into the race as anticipated and unable to shift out passing 600m due to runner positioned to his outside. Disappointed in performance as failed to respond over final 400m and in his opinion failed to handle wet conditions
