Orman reported that in his opinion the filly was travelling well into the home straight and then received a significant bump from another runner and after this failed to stretch out and was disappointing over the concluding stages. Drumeous Began awkwardly. Bumped heavily approaching the 700m whilst racing greenly and forced wider on the track. Ipswich 23/02/2017
Two Amor Apprentice A. Sewell reported that his mount was doing its best work over the concluding stages and would appreciate a step up in distance. Sunshine Coast 17/03/2017

Canterbury King Slow to begin. Questioned re tactics - instructions take up forward position. Began only fairly. View would have to overly pressure mount an improve around field to obtain position. Elected to maintain position with cover was of view able to improve into race passing 600m. Passing 600m gelding unable to improve despite his efforts. Proved disappointing. He attributed to heavy track conditions. Also belief gelding may have come to end of preparation. Gold Coast 25/03/2017

Daisy Wheel Shifted in at the start and bumped another runner. Raced greenly in the home straight and near the 200m shifted in abruptly resulting in the rider having to stop and straighten. Gold Coast 25/03/2017

Headwater Country Bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout. Dalby 11/03/2017
Payback Reluctant to proceed to barriers. Warning placed on pre-race behaviour. Began awkwardly and lost some ground at the start. Following the gelding’s poor performance, trainer T. Sears advised that the horse will now be spelled, during which time consideration will be given to the horse’s racing future. Toowoomba 09/07/2016

Karen's Heart Passing the 1200m was steadied for a number of strides after improving onto heels. Approaching the 1000m was steadied after improving onto heels. At the entrance to the straight was checked when tightened for room. Grafton 07/03/2017

Rising Luck The veterinary surgeon reported the presence of blood in one nostril. Trainer T. Thomas was advised that the horse must perform satisfactorily in a gallop over 1000m before being eligible to race again. Sunshine Coast 17/03/2017

He's All Heart Slow into stride. Overraced in the early stages, placing jockey R. Stewart in some difficulty and after passing the 900m, when the speed was slow, he elected to shift wider and improve to obtain the lead at a point near the 800m. Ipswich 10/03/2017

Aimee's Game Passing the 1100m raced in restricted for some distance and near the 900m was steadied when crowded. Near the 700m was steadied after improving onto heels when pace of the event slackened. Lismore 24/02/2017
Famous Grouse Jockey M Hellyer reported at scale that the gelding was inclined to hang out for a major part of the race. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities at the time of examination. Gold Coast 11/03/2017
