That's Madness	Passing the 200m was eased when crowded. When qstd rdr stated filly travelled well during the early and middle stages despite being wide, but when the pace quickened near the 400m failed to respond, and was most disappointing in the straight. Rdr add in his opinion may not have been suited racing on the tight circuit, and may also appreciate being ridden with cover.Post race vet exam found a poor recovery, and a number of speedy cuts to both hind pasterns. Old Tex	When questioned as to the performance, Jockey J Morris stated that after obtaining the lead as instructed, the gelding failed to finish the race off as expected and was slightly disappointing in its performance. He added that in his opinion the gelding may have come to the end of its current preparation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed slight lacerations to the mouth.	Gold Coast	18/02/2017

Major Consul	When asked to comment on the performance, L. Tarrant stated that after racing comfortably just behind the lead it travelled well to the home turn, however when asked to respond at the top of the straight was reluctant to stretch out and was disappointing.
