A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings apart from a laceration inside the off fore cannon. Mr Edmonds was advised that if there was anything amiss with the mare on return to his stables he should inform stewards otherwise the mare will have to trial.

During the early stages of the home straight had difficulty securing clear running to the outside of DALLINGER which was inclined to lay out. When questioned as to the performance, Jockey L Rolls stated that he was not entirely disappointed with the geldings performance. Jockey Rolls was of the view that the gelding would be better suited over further distances and was not suited by todays pattern of racing.
