Had to be restrained from heels when the pace slackened approaching the 800m and lost ground, and as a result of this incident the horse was galloped on from behind. Placed in restricted room and became unbalanced after passing the 100m. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have suffered a laceration above the hock on the near hind leg consistent with having been galloped on.
