Byrne explained that when the pace slowed approaching the first turn, his mount commenced to overrace at the heels of SNEAKY GLANCE and for this reason he was obliged to shift out to a 3 wide position and rather than race 3 wide for the remainder of the event, he allowed BOCAGE to stride forward to settle outside of PRINCE OF TIE. Rdr added she did not overly restrain mount as it was already inclined to blunder on shifty going & she elected it to stride & travel how comfortable. Rdr added mount settled from 600m however failed to sprint strongly in straight & was disapp. P/R vet exam found no ab's. Tnr concurred with rdrs sentiments & advised next start it will be ridden with cover in an effort to have it settle and sustain a finishing effort.
