Race 2
Desert Cowboy Became fractious in the float enroute to the track and bumped its head. The gelding was subsequently examined by the veterinary surgeon, and cleared to take its place in the field. Shifted a plate upon entering the enclosure, which was refitted before the gelding proceeded to the barriers. Slow into stride, and was restrained to take up a position at the rear of the field. Calligrapher Shortly after the start slightly tightened when KEEN INSTINCT laid in. Proved disappointing over the concluding stages. Bel Classico Forced wider approaching the 600m and raced wide from that point onwards. Sunshine Coast 24/11/2017
Howick Began awkwardly and bumped another runner. Bumped at the entrance to the straight. Passing the 300m was obliged to ease in around heels to continue to improve. Grafton 03/12/2017
Jillies Jet Laid in and bumped another runner approaching the 200m. Grafton 21/11/2017

Airdale Slow to begin. Eased after improving onto heels rounding the first turn. Laid out down the straight and proved difficult to ride with full vigour. Murwillumbah 08/12/2017
French Descent Near 800m when overracing checked severely to avoid heels. Then continued to be taken back through field by the runner in front, which was weakening. Gold Coast 29/11/2017

Night Whisper Passing the 800m bumped with GRINCH. Raced in restricted room for a short period to the inside of MEANER. Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight. Gold Coast 25/11/2017

Verily Made first turn awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hind quarters of another runner. Gold Coast 02/12/2017

Grey Steyne Raced wide from the 700m and made the home turn very wide. Toowoomba 25/11/2017
Same Old Passing the 1000m over-raced and had to be steadied away from the heels of CAPA CAYLEE on a number of occasions. Gold Coast 25/11/2017

Our Rock O'reilly Was restless in the barriers. After considering the horse’s poor record in this regard, a warning was placed on the horse. Stewards intend to inquire into an incident which occurred approaching the final turn where jockey J. Woodhouse was dislodged. This inquiry will be scheduled for hearing at a time and date to be fixed. Kilcoy 02/12/2017
 
Race 8
Rhyme Nor Rhythm Overraced early and middle stages.Apprentice B. Nothdurft could offer no explanation for the seemingly disappointing performance other than the horse in his opinion failed to handle the sand track. He also added that on return to the enclosure the horse had its tongue over the bit. Roma 18/11/2017
Shadow Lord Put its head down as the start was effected, resulting in apprentice Z. White becoming badly unbalanced when the horse jumped and as a result lost considerable ground. Ipswich 22/11/2017
Rolling Roman Over-raced during the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer G Baker reported that the gelding had come to the end of its current preparation and would now be sent for an immediate spell. Gold Coast 12/08/2017
