Jockey E. Ljung was suspended from riding in races for a period of 11 days, to commence at midnight, 10 January and to expire at midnight, 21 January.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the horse had poor post-race recovery. Trainer W. Nugent was advised that the horse must perform competitively in an official trial before being permitted to start again. Mr Nugent advised that the horse would be sent for an immediate spell.
