Began awkwardly. Approaching the 400m was steadied when placed in restricted room between ALASTRIONA and JAKUTA both of which shifted ground. Approaching the 200m had difficulty improving to the outside of SET WAIT as a result of CAPITAL CITY racing directly to its outside and was then disappointed for a run to the inside of DRAGON STREET before shifting out and again being disappointed for a run between DRAGON STREET and CLINT. Near the 100m REGNANT was unable to improve to the outside of CLINT in order to avoid causing interference to CAPITAL CITY.
