Ditzy Darci Passing 500m steadied away from the heels of CALISTO, which was taken out slightly by BROWN BROWN. Rider questioned re tactics - indicated instructions were to go forward if possible and obtain cover just off the speed. Added after travelling a short distance caught three wide and unable to obtain cover therefore elected to restrain after passing 1100m towards rear of the field and in doing so filly commenced to overrace and got its head up on a number of occasions for a short distance. Old Trieste Bumped shortly after the start. Eased when tightened for room passing the 900m. Approaching the first turn commenced to pull severely and continued throughout the middle stages. Murwillumbah 03/06/2018

Clairvue Apprentice M. McGillivray reported that the horse felt awkward in its action from the 700m and when asked to respond near the 600m, shortened stride. He then did not pressure the horse in the home straight as he felt the horse may have been sore in front. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Latino Lover Tightened for room and checked near the 1300m. Toowoomba 15/06/2018
Bart When quest re perf rdr stated he worked early to lead event app 1200m. Whilst keen, mount travelled well e&m stages & he was confident when he asked it to improve app 600m. Rdr stated mount only responded for 200m, was under full pressure on h/turn & weakened to line. Tnr stated geld has history of mixing form, however had worked well leading into event & he was confident. Only explantion he could offer was geld was down 500m in journey & lacked sprint for todays dist. Tnr advised would step up in dist next start. P/R vet exam no ab's. Lope de Lope When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rdr stated in his opinion the mare was disadvantaged by the moderate tempo set during the middle stages which made it difficult to make ground.Rdr further added in his opinion the mare also did not seem to appreciate the shifty track conditions. Armet Stewards questioned Apprentice M. Shimodaira, in the presence of jockeys advocate Mr. B. Saunders, in relation to his failure to cross to a position one off the fence outside the leader during the middle stages, rather than maintaining a three wide position when there appeared to be an opportunity to cross. Weekend Saga Stewards interviewed rider J. Bayliss regarding the horse’s finishing effort and his riding over the concluding stages. He indicated that the horse, after failing to respond to his riding in the early stages of the home straight, became awkward in its action and for this reason he did not ride the horse out over the final 200m. He added that in his opinion the horse did not handle the rain-affected conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have a slow post-race recovery. Sunshine Coast 27/05/2018
