When questioned regarding the tactics adopted today when the gelding led which is against its normal racing pattern, rider stated that after the horse began well, and although she was given no specific instructions, due the lack of early pace she allowed the gelding to assume the lead where it travelled comfortably.

When questioned into the improved performance trainer stated that while she was disappointed with the horses previous two performances she was of the opinion the filly had not run the distances on those occasions and had freshened the filly up and brought her back in distance where it was successful previously. She further indicated that it would now be her intention that the filly race at what she considers a more appropriate distance at this stage of it’s career. Stewards noted her explanation.
