Was reluctant to load. Trainer was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners. Following the declaration of Correct Weight Jockey advised Stewards that the gelding’s starting barrier had not opened simultaneously with those of the other runners. Head-on footage of the start confirmed this was the case and that LAPELS had been marginally slowly away. Jockey was admonished and instructed to report any such future incident immediately on returning to scale.
