Venkaya stated that the mare was fractious in the barriers before travelling comfortably until asked for an effort near the 600m, where the mare commenced to hang out and proved disappointing. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be in a distressed state following the event. Trainer B. Smith will be advised that a veterinary certificate will be required prior to the mare's next start |
