When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which raced below market expectations, App R. Shred stated that she expected ANZUS to be competitive today and was disappointed with its performance. App Shred further stated that after beginning well and taking up an early lead her mount was then disappointing from the 500m and failed to respond to her riding. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities and a swab sample was taken. Trainer O. Cairns was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s inconsistent performances under LR25.
