Rumouring  Hampered on jumping away. Rider questioned re disappointing performance - began well and was able to lead without placing mare under undue pressure and set steady tempo in early stages. Pressure during middle stages when horses improved to its outside, but was under pressure leaving the 500m and proved dissapointing. Felt mare may be better suited over shorter distances. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted on the filly, in particular settling at the rear of the field, apprentice M. McGuren stated that he intended to settle further forward however his mount was slow to begin and failed to muster strongly early speed. M. McGuren added that he elected not to ride his mount forward and risk being caught wide but rather elected to settle in a position closer to the rail at the tail

Bergdorf  Inquiry re performance. Rider stated that after travelling well in the early and middle stages of the race the filly failed to respond to his riding from the 400m and proved disappointing. He added that he advised connections the horse may be better suited to ridden more conservatively in an endeavour to have finish its races off. Bashan (NZ)  Slow to begin. Steadied near the 150m when placed in restricted room between runners. G. Colless reported that the gelding improved into the race leaving the 400m and after being inconvenienced in the home straight was doing its best work over the concluding stages and would be more suited to races over longer distances.  Sunshine Coast  12/04/2015 
Heart of a Warrior  Jumped away awkwardly, losing ground. T. Harrison stated she was of the opinion that the horse would be better suited over more ground and she attempted to settle in the second half of the field. However she believed it did not muster sufficient early speed to take up that position and settled at the tail of the field. Miss Harrison added she attempted to improve her position after passing the 600m, however the horse did not respond and felt awkward in its action over the concluding stages despite working to the line fairly.Veterinary examination revealed the horse to be sore over the rump  Sunshine Coast  10/12/2014
