Indestructible  When questioned regarding her tactics, apprentice J. Greacen stated that she had difficulty restraining behind BOOM BOX and therefore shifted to the outside of the heels of that horse, however was then carried three wide when BOOM BOX shifted out near the 700m from behind ELUSIVENESS and then raced wide from that point on, bearing in mind the instructions from the trainer were not to restrain the horse unnecessarily. He'll Be Right  Slow to begin. Rider questioned. She said after being slow to begin, she rode her gelding along in an effort to improve and near the 900m improved on to heels and had to be steadied and lost ground. She added that the gelding commenced to hang out and continued to do so for the remainder of the event, which prevented her from riding with her usual vigour in the home straight. War Front  Slow to begin. When given the opportunity to comment on the horse's performance, G. Geran stated that after being slow to begin his mount then travelled only reasonably during the middle stages of the event, however ran on fairly in the home straight and in his opinion would be better suited in races over a further distance than today's event. Trainer K. Kemp agreed with the appraisal of jockey Geran and advised that at the next start he will look to stepping the horse up in distance.  Gatton  17/07/2015

No Magic Needed (NZ)  Bumped at the start. Stewards questioned apprentice C. Schmidt regarding the tactics adopted today whereby the horse led, which was in contrast to its last start where it settled back in the field. Apprentice Schmidt stated that with the addition of blinkers today on the horse, she was instructed to take up a forward position. She added that the gelding travelled strongly in the early stages and as a result she allowed it to stride forward and settle outside the leader.  Ipswich  10/07/2015
