Star of Aquarius  Bumped rounding the home turn. When asked to explain her riding rounding the home turn, jockey S. Bogenhuber stated that she was placing her mount under pressure at that point, however A LADYS COMPLIMENT improved to her inside and due to that runner travelling better than her was able to push out and obtain clear running. Royal Epic  Had to be checked shortly after the start to avoid the heels of TRIPLE WON, which was taken out by NICE TIME. A post race veterinary examination of the horse which had not started for some time and finished a distant last, failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. As the horse had not started for a long period of time, trainer R. Substation  Stewards questioned jockey N. Day as to whether when passing the 600m he had opportunity to improve outside the eventual winner BECKHAM in an attempt to hold that horse in a position on the fence. He indicated he had attempted to do so however the opportunity was open to him only for a short period and when he attempted to improve shortly after, BECKHAM shifted to a position 4 wide, and he therefore elected to steady and shift back to the inside in an attempt to improve into the race.
