Angel Mio  Rider questioned re riding in home straight stated he had difficulty obtaining clear running during early stages home straight. However, when afforded clear running passing 200m the mare failed to quicken and in his opinion was immediately under pressure. Jockey added for this reason he elected not to ride the mare out with usual vigour over final 100m. Stewards noted explanation and reminded jockey to ride mounts out to end of race. Ultimo  Jockey J. Lloyd was asked to comment on the performance. He indicated that his mount did not muster any speed and lost touch with the main body of the field in the early stages. He advised connections that the filly would benefit from a step up in distance to 1400m as it was doing its best work over the final 200m. Menacing  Correct weight was delayed to allow M. McGuren, rider of the 3rd placegetter, Menacing, to view the stewards patrol video over the final 200m to ascertain if he had grounds to lodge a protest against Party Spin being declared 2nd. Roubaix  When questioned as to the seemingly improved performance stable representative S. Andrew noted that hoof pads had been added to the gelding's gear today. Mr Andrew also noted that the gelding had previously performed well on rain affected conditions and in his opinion the step up in distance today together with the addition of hoof pads had contributed to the improved performance.   Gold Coast  15/08/2015

All My Angels  Inquiry re riding tactics adopted. Rider J. Lloyd stated he was not issued with any real instructions other than the horse began awkwardly at its previous start and raced back in the field. However after beginning well today and with no real speed in the early stages the horse travelled comfortably in the lead and he allowed his mount to hold that position without being pressured. Stable representative Miss M. Seymour confirmed that no specific instructions were given and stewards noted the explanation.
