Steadied when inconvenienced slightly near the 1000m, then overraced for some distance. Inquiry re early tactics. He said from the wide draw, and speed inside, he restrained, tryng to cross and find a midfield rail position. He said at the start it was reluctant to stretch out early and got further back than anticipated, and in the back straight began to travel strongly and overraced but then travelled nicely thereafter, and in the straight despite having an uninterrupted run, it only finished off fairly, adding he would recommend it be stepped up in distance. |
