Eight's a Party  J. Byrne reported at scale that his mount was under pressure prior to the home turn and did not respond to his riding. Trainer D. Bell advised stewards that the horse had pleased him in the lead up to today's event, however he was very disappointed with its run today. He added that he would monitor the horse's post-race recovery and advise stewards should anything come to light in coming days. Space Invader  Carried wider rounding the first turn.J Lloyd stated that he rode with vigour in the early stages with the intent of settling in a forward position. His mount failed to muster early speed and settled in a three wide position worse than midfield until the 1000m where it obtained a position with cover two wide.His mount travelled comfortably in the early and middle stages however failed to sprint when placed under pressure from the 600m and was disappointing. J. Lloyd added that his mounts form suggests it does not appreciate rain affected going and it was asked to carry a large weight today.  Ballina  10/09/2015

Hurricane Cassie  Rider questioned regarding her riding in the early stages whereby after beginning well she immediately restrained, which resulted in her being unable to cross the two runners drawn to her inside, which resulted in her racing three wide during the early and middle stages of the event. Mac's Addiction  When questioned regarding his riding of the horse, jockey G. Geran stated that his instructions were to allow the gelding plenty of racing room and as a result he elected to shift wider on the track leaving the 500m in order to comply with the instructions. Monsieur Hughes  Began awkwardly and then made contact with the hind quarters of another runner on jumping away and as a result lost ground. Placed in restricted room near the 900m and buffeted when KYOGLE TOWN shifted out when not completely clear. Rider questioned re seemingly disappointing performance. No Magic Needed (NZ)  When questioned regarding his tactics adopted on the gelding jockey T. Bell stated he had no specific instructions however when the gelding did not begin well he elected to ease to take up a position near the rear of the field. Jockey Bell added that he was taken wider on the track after leaving the 800m. His explanation was noted. Vetted - no significant abnormalities.  Doomben  19/09/2015

Triple Jeopardy  Jockey R. Fradd stated the horse had led with him previously over 1200m and overraced with him on that occasion. He said today after establishing the lead it commenced to overrace and despite his efforts to restrain to allow LANDALE to cross him, it pulled hard and for this reason took further than he would have liked to have it settle.

Epic Choice  Apprentice B. Grylls was questioned regarding the tactics adopted in the early stages when she allowed her mount to stride forward to the lead, which was in contrast with its most recent starts. She stated that after beginning well she elected to stride forward to the lead as she was of the view that she would be caught wide. Trainer J. Wallace stated that he had instructed Grylls to settle in a handy position with cover but was satisfied that after begining well that Grylls allowed the horse to stride forward to the lead. Proud Val  Inconvenienced leaving the 100m. Rider reported on return to scale his breast plate broke, resulting in his saddle shifted back, placing him at a disadvantage throughout the race.   Sunshine Coast  28/11/2014 
Sleep Tight  Appeared to falter near the 100m and shifted out, inconveniencing another runner. The horse was restrained at this point, with rider dismounting on pulling up. After returning to the enclosure SLEEP TIGHT underwent a full vet exam which failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer advised that he would have a further vet exam conducted in coming days, the results of which he will report to stewards. Mr O'Dea was advised that pending any further information, he will be required to produce a veterinary clearance for SLEEP TIGHT and the filly must trial satisfactorily before racing again.  Ipswich  13/02/2015
