He indicated that as horse has been caught wide in previous starts he had been instructed to take hold and take up a trailing position. Trainer's representative Mr M. O'Leary was advised that a reprimand would be recorded against trainer R. Heathcote for failing to notify a change of tactics. |

Rider reported the gelding hung out badly from the 600m and made the home turn very awkwardly. He felt this was due to the horse, which had its first 2 starts at the Sunshine Coast, seemingly having difficulty getting around the tight circuit today. He added in the straight due to it hanging he was unable to ride the horse out to the best of his ability. Trainer he would make gear changes before its next start, endeavour to have him return to racing at a bigger track. |
