Lakey that BROCSON be declared a non-runner due to that horse's barrier gates not opening at the same time as the rest of the field's gates had opened. Trainer reported horse pulled up well and an an endoscopic examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Only tangible explanation was that it may have resented being restrained once it found the lead as had performace poorly in the past when ridden in a similar fashion. At a subsequent inquiry it was established that HIGH COST shifted in and away from REDSSON, resulting in FALCHION being taken in slightly across the rightful running of SUITE MOVER. Stewards could not attribute this incident to the carelessness of any one rider and no further action was taken. He added approaching the 500m he allowed JACK BE QUICK to cross his mount and he was immediately under pressure and the colt did not respond to his riding in the home straight.
