Exceedingly Fine  Questioned re improved performance - trainer stated had performed well 2 campaigns ago including Provincial Class 3 win. Following that campagin suffered a sternum injury whilst spelling and failed to perform in subsequent campaign. As a result was sent for another lengthy spell which was first up from today. Rum 'n' Song  When afforded the opportunity to comment on the horse's performance, apprentice M. McGillivray stated that after having a favourable run throughout the race the gelding failed to respond when placed under pressure from the 500m and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slower than normal recovery rate and mild heat stress.  Ipswich  21/02/2016 
Tickets to Ride  Trainer S. Barling was questioned regarding the tactics adopted. He stated he instructed his rider to be positive out of the barriers. Stewards advised Mr Barling as this resulted in the horse being ridden differently to its most recent start, in similar circumstances he would be expected to notify them of a change in tactics.

Johnny Be Quick  He explained that he rode his mount hard in the early stages in an endeavour to comply with instructions and take up a handy position, however, after doing so he was aware that a number of runners to his outside were showing superior speed and as he was concerned he was making too much use of his mount, he therefore elected to steady and allow runners to cross. He said when crossed by SUPER MARS, that horse then steadied, resulting in him being placed one position further back than he had anticipated. He added that from the 500m to the 400m he was held up behind runners and could not improve  Beaudesert  28/03/2016

Chicago  Questioned re: performance - rider stated moutn travelled well throughout early and middle stage however, leaving 800m obliged to race wide without cover after being forced wider by another runner. Horse was then immediatly under pressure and weakened after passing the 500m before compounding over the final 200m. Post race vet failed to reveal any abnormalities.  Ballina  2/11/2015 
Flinders Peak  Bumped approaching the 500m and became unbalanced. Raced wide throughout.

French Charm  A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Stewards interviewed L. Dittman regarding the horse's performance. He indicated that the horse travelled well until approaching the home turn when the horse commence to lost ground despite being ridden vigorously. Trainer later advised that filly had pulled up well after the event and a subsequent vet inspection had failed to reveal any abnormalities.   Sunshine Coast  27/03/2016
