Ask Audrey Steadied from heels leaving the 700m. S. Bogenhuber reported following the race that the filly failed to travel strongly on the bit during the event and when placed under pressure failed to respond to her riding and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer’s representative Mr P. Sexton advised that the filly will now be sent for a spell. Toowoomba 31/12/2016

Excitement Levels Began awkwardly. When quest opening sizeable lead in middle stages rdr stated she was inst to lead & make it a staying test. Rdr stated whilst she would have liked slower sectionals mount was well held on the bridle & she did not want to restrain it & hace it overrace. Tnr confirmed inst but expressed disapp at tempo set. In assessing matter stewards appreciated at 2 last starts, over similar distances, geld has led events, held at a moderate tempo & on both occasions weakened out of event. Grafton 29/01/2017

Greenbank Road Rider questioned re tactics adopted resulting in mount settling 3 wide outside lead with no cover in only a moderately run first 800m. Refer Stewards Report. Doomben 01/03/2017
Little Mister Raced wide throughout. Gold Coast 16/07/2016
The Exhibitionist Had to be restrained from the heels of DEUS and then shifted out approaching the 800m. Steadied when tightened for room near the 400m. Doomben 13/01/2017

Ponty When questioned regarding the poor performance jockey J Mallyon stated that the gelding never travelled well at any stage of the race and in his opinion may not have backed up from racing last Wednesday. Trainer L Ross agreed with jockey Mallyon’s comments and said in view of its performance today he would recommend to the owners to send the horse for a spell. Hemsworth Stood flat footed at the start and lost ground. On returning to scale, jockey reported that he felt the colt may have choked down during the event, and therefore recommended to connections the addition of a tongue tie to its gear prior to its next start. Toowoomba 04/03/2017

Pipemajor Inconvenienced and forced wider rounding the home turn. M. Cahill reported that his mount hung in very badly throughout the event. Stewards advised trainer G. Hay that a warning would be placed on the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be suffering mild heat stress. Sunshine Coast 24/02/2017
