Apprentice S. Lacy pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, in that near the 1300m she allowed her mount to shift in when not fully clear of STORMY LEO, which had to be checked and lost ground. Apprentice Lacy was suspended from riding in races for a period of 8 days, to commence at midnight, 9 April and to expire at midnight, 17 April. In assessing penalty, stewards took into account her guilty plea, good record and that she has only recently returned to race riding after suffering an injury.Held up entering the home straight.

Brooker was further cautioned for continuing to shift out, forcing TONI MAY wider on the track inside the 100m.

A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer S. Kendrick agreed that the performance was disappointing and indicated to stewards he would have veterinary tests carried out, the results of which he would report to stewards.
