Trnr subsequently reported that the mare had pulled up showing signs of muscle soreness and advised she would assess the mare in the coming days in relation to continuing with its current campaign. Trnr advised that should she continue on with mares current prep a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to it being permitted to start.

He indicated that the horses 2 starts this preparation have been over shorter distances and has been finishing the races off well and therefore expected a more forward showing with the step up in distance of todays event. He added that, in his opinion, todays race was a lesser quality field and he was therefore not surprised that the horse was more competitive.
