King of the North Knuckled on jumping. Gold Coast 23/12/2017
Falvelino N. Tomizawa was questioned regarding the horse’s disappointing performance. He explained that the gelding travelled comfortably until he shifted three wide and applied pressure approaching the home turn and in his opinion the horse did not feel comfortable in its action in the early part of the home straight so when weakening he elected to ease the horse down. Trainer T. Sears undertook to report to stewards in coming days anything that may explain today’s performance. Vetted, no abnormalities. Must trial satisfactorily before racing again. Race 2
Fab's Cowboy Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Stewards questioned rider in relation the seemingly disappointing performance. He advised that the gelding travelled well during the event, however when placed under pressure it failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing. He added that the gelding may not have backed up from its last start win 7 days prior. Chinchilla 16/12/2017

Dreams Aplenty A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from heat stress. The trainer indicated the horse would now be sent for a spell. Gold Coast 07/10/2017

Love And Lies Steadied passing the 900m after racing in restricted room to the inside of BURNING MOUNTAIN (Apprentice H. English) which was taken in by IRON GEORGE (Apprentice B. Nothdurft). Venecia Apprentice S. Lacy reported the mare hung out throughout and felt short in its action from passing the 500m. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near hind leg. Sunshine Coast 10/09/2017

Great Moghul Bumped in early stages of home straight. On return to scale rider reported horse was inclined to lay in for majority of the event. Ipswich 27/09/2017

Our Gracious Dane Slow to begin. Disappointed for a run near the 200m and forced to shift to the outside to secure clear running. Ipswich 23/06/2017
Torokina Raced greenly near the 500m and lost ground. Improved onto heels at the 500m and shifted wider on the track. Esk 16/12/2017
Starzarina Had to be checked at the start when severely tightened for room between SHES AN EAGER LASS, which shifted in abruptly, and NEVER IN DOUBT, which shifted out. Doomben 19/07/2017

Theatric Raced keenly during the middle stages. From the 500m and until near the 300m was held up when unable to obtain a clear run. Rider reported that the filly raced keenly in the early and middle stages and this may have had an effect on it finishing the race off. Royal Receiver When the pace slackened in the middle stages commenced to overrace and as a consequence shifted wider on the track and was ridden forward to assume the lead passing the 700m. Sunshine Coast 26/12/2017
