Mr Thomas was reprimanded for failing to notify a change of tactics by the prescribed time. Improved into a position where there was questionable racing room when overracing near the 800m and was then further tightened for room and had to be steadied. Restrained from heels on a number of occasions between the 600m and the 400m.
