Was bumped on the hindquarter shortly after the start. When questioned rdr std he could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. Added the gelding travelled well throughout the early & mid stgs however when placed under pressure from the 700m, his mnt commenced to lay in & failed to finish the race off as expected. Post race vet exam revealed no abs. Stwds will follow up in the post race condition of the gelding in the days subsequent. Tnr rep reported that the stable was satisfied with the post-race condition and the intention is to drop gelding back in grade and continue prep.
