He felt that following this the horse did not respond to his riding and despite being marginally held up leaving the 400m, did not finish the race off well. Trainer stated that she has always had an opinion of the gelding however it became evident last preparation that it need time to mature physically and consequently it was sent for a spell. Ms Brosnan stated that the gelding has pleased in its work this preparation and had recently trialled strongly over a 1000m journey. Ms Brosnan added that in her opinion the gelding was aided by being able to settle at the rear of the field behind a strong tempo in the early and middle stages and the heavy track conditions. |
