After showing speed to lead compounded badly after rounding the home turn and when tiring made heavy contact with the inside rail at the 200m almost dislodging her rider. Post-race was vetted and found to have a slightly elevated heart rate and some inconsistency with it's breathing. Trainer was advised the filly would be barred from racing until it completes a satisfactory gallop over 800m in the presence of a steward and vet and then be cleared by the vet prior to racing again. |

When no other rider was available Stewards permitted jockey to ride the gelding 3.5kg over its declared weight. Raced wide rounding the 700m turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. Trainer was advised that as this was the geldings first occurrence it would now incur the mandatory 3 month from racing under AR53A and that prior to racing again it would be required to trial or gallop 1000m in the presence of a Steward.
