Soon after the start attempted to buck and lost some ground and after leaving the run out rail near the 950m ran in abruptly and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality. Trainer was told that the gelding would be required to barrier trial to the Stewards satisfaction prior to being permitted to race again.
