When questioned regarding her mount racing back in the field, Jockey said that she was instructed to lead, if possible, however, after beginning reasonably well, she rode her mount along in an attempt to comply with her instructions. However, when runners to her outside showed superior speed she elected to take up a position with cover and from that point her mount raced keenly. |

When questioned regarding the poor performance Jockey said that she had to make some use of her mount in the early stages to obtain a position closer to the running rail, rather than be caught wide, however even allowing for this, she said her mount was disappoiniting and weakened from the 200 metres. Jockey added that in her opinion the gelding did not appreciate the quick back-up after Saturday's race. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. |
