On return to scale, Apprentice B. Nothdurft could offer no tangible explanation for the mares seemingly disappointing performance tonight. Trainer B. Currie expressed some disappointment with the performance tonight, however he advised that, in his opinion, the horse may not have been suited to the step up in distance to 1200m, and indicated that he will now look to drop the mare back in distance before its next start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare had shifted a plate on the off hind leg, however no abnormalities were detected. A swab sample was also taken from the mare.
