On returning to scale Jockey reported that the gelding had pulled up short in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was lame in the off foreleg. Trainer advised the gelding will now be retired nonetheless was advised a veterinary clearance will be required should circumstances change.

Trainer advised stewards it will be his intention to have the gelding ridden back in the field from the wide barrier if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly. Was restrained at the start to take up a rearward position. Trainer was advised that the horse’s nomination would be refused at TAB venues until such time as its form improves by way of country meetings. Trainer added that it was now his intention for the horse to be sent for a spell.

A post race veterinary examination of the horse, which finished tailed off, revealed no significant findings. Trainer A. Jenkinson advised that the horse held its breath and that he will fit a tongue-tie for its next race start.
