When questioned regarding the gelding racing in a prominent position in today’s event, Jockey stated that he was under no specific instructions but after beginning well elected to make use of his mounts early gate speed and was able to find a position behind the leaders. Trainer stated that even though he provided no instructions was surprised to see the gelding racing in a forward position as in his opinion, is better suited settling midfield with cover.
