Raced extremely ungenerously throwing its head in the air in the early and middle stages placing its rider at a distinct disadvantage. Raced wide most of the way. Rider stated mare did not appreciate the dust and kickback. Trainer was advised that the mare must successfully complete a barrier trial prior to racing again. |

Stewards interviewed Trainer regarding the disappointing finishing effort in the geldings two most recent starts. The trainer could offer no explanation for the gelding finishing last today after travelling comfortably until the home turn where the gelding weakened noticeably and failed to respond to Jockey's urgings. Trainer advised it was now his intention to drop the gelding back in distance at its next start. The explanation was noted. |
