D. McIntosh, rider of SHE'S A KICKER, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that near the 200m he shifted out when insufficiently clear of FAIRMORE, resulting in B. Appo having to check FAIRMORE at that stage. D. McIntosh was suspended from riding in races for a period of 9 days to commence at midnight, 21 November and to expire at midnight, 30 November 2015.

Slow to jump. Apprentice Ms H English was questioned as to the tactics adopted. Ms English stated that after being slow away the mare got back a lot further than she would have liked. Given that this was the mare's first start in a clockwise direction, the mare was having some difficulty getting around the corners and therefore was reluctant to push her along until after the 600m. When she did apply pressure the mare then became unbalanced rounding the final two turns and after straightening finished the race off well. Connections questioned....re report.

Bumped at the start. Questioned re: riding in early stages - App stated instructed to maintain lead as had won when ridding in simmilar manner last start. When AIR DIAMOND improved outside her passing 800m she rode to maintain the lead as per instructions. However when AIR DIAMOND crossed forward of her near 600m the gelding commenced to weaken and finished a distant last. Whilst mindful of instructions stewards advised App that her better option would have been to allow AIR DIAMOND to cross to the lead near the 800m. |
