Angels Crown  When questioned regarding her tactics, R. Payne indicated that she had not intended to set such a fast tempo in the event, however the mare resented being restrained when she attempted to settle the horse after leaving the 900m and again approaching the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the filly had pulled its offside plate, was bleeding from the hoof and moderately lame. A veterinary certificate will be required prior to its next race start. 8/4/15 vet cert received.

Brown Doubt  Slow to begin.
Shortly after the start blundered, shifted in abruptly and hampered two other runners. When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of the gelding, trainer said that in his opinion BON TEMPS had derived benefit from a drop back in distance and the addition of a tongue-tie to the gelding's approved gear.

Jam Tin  jockey Ms H Phillips pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that approaching the 900 metre mark she allowed her mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of ONLINES causing that runner to be checked and shift in, making contact with SHOCTONIC and UNIQUE FUSE who also had to be checked and lose their rightful running. Jockey Phillips' license to ride in races was suspended for a period commencing midnight 11/04/2015 up to and including midnight Friday 24/04/2015 (one non-TAB meeting).

Radiant Joy  Raced 3 wide throughout. Questioned about her riding tactics App. Vuille stated that she was instructed to ride the mare where she was comfortable, however due to the perceived pace of the race she had anticipated being in a handy position one away from the running rail. App. Vuille acknowledged that the race did not pan out as she had expected and she was obliged to race midfield in a 3 wide position, and she had erred by not allowing her mount to stride forward in the back straight and take a leading position. Stewards agreed with her assessment of the ride and noted her explanation.  Rockhampton  15/01/2015
