Isa Tala  Approaching the 800m, had to be steadied and lost ground when tightened for room between CASINO BENJO, which shifted out, and HOTEL PARADISO, which shifted in. Jockey S. Sheargold, rider of HOTEL PARADISO, was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances when shifting ground.

Meteor's Man  Rider reported that his mount had over-raced throughout, which had been detrimental to the horse's chances. Our Single Doubt  Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight, then near the 200 metres was disappointed when attempting a narrow run.

Lavra Qualo  Raced wide for the majority of the race. When asked to comment on the performance, jockey R. McMahon stated he was trapped wide for the majority of the race without cover. He added that the filly may not have appreciated the tight turning track and today's prevailing track conditions, and the performance, in his opinion, was somewhat disappointing.
