His mount raced dour in the early and middle stages and he was of the opinion that it was looking for races over a longer distance. He was mindful of the heavy impost of 59kg and added that the gelding had come to the end of its preparation. Trainer L. He stated that after beginning awkwardly the mare put in a few awkward strides and as a result settled further back than he had anticipated. He added that the mare was only having its second start in a race and that was after having nearly a year off from racing. He further stated that the mare would take fitness and racing experience for the run. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.   |
