Tremont (NZ)  | Jockey stated that the gelding was disappointing. He said that he obtained a favourable position and raced well throughout the early and middle stages, however in the latter stages of the home straight failed to finish the race off as expected. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer reported that the horse was found to have epiglottic entrapment which restricted its breathing. Boomtown Boy  | Stewards inquired into BOOMTOWN BOY leading in the event. Trainer T. Button explained that his instructions were to ride the gelding positively and be positioned where comfortable. Mr Button said that these instructions were similar to those give at its previous starts however in races with more pace.
