Spot the Diff  Stewards sought an explanation from L. Dittman regarding the reasons for his mount losing ground after passing the 900m, having obtained a favourable position behind the leaders. Jockey Dittman indicated that the horse became awkward and changed stride at that point, resulting in the filly losing ground and relinquishing its position behind the leaders. Perfectly Sweet  Raced wide throughout. Apprentice J. Oliver could offer no tangible explanation for the horse's seemingly disappointing performance, adding that the horse had worked well leading into the event and he expected a forward showing. Trainer B. Currie expressed disappointment with the performance, however added that in his opinion the horse will derive fitness benefit from tonight's first up run from a spell and he will look to stepping the horse up in distance at its next start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.  Toowoomba  18/06/2016 
Rockette Rocket  Bumped shortly after the start. Pulled hard in the middle stages and rounding the turn near the 600 metres laid out and had to be checked when awkwardly placed on heels. Was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.

Rise to Fame  Over-raced in the middle stages. When questioned regarding his riding rounding the home turn and as to whether there was an opportunity to shift to the outside of DENNIS DENUTO, Jockey explained that his mount was under vigorous riding rounding the home turn and improved onto the heels of the weakening DENNIS DENUTO, and as a result was awkwardly placed.
