When questioned regarding the poor performance, Jockey said that his mount travelled comfortably throughout, however was under pressure prior to straightening and went to the finish only fairly. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

When questioned regarding her riding Apprentice explained that she had been instructed to ride the mare in a midfield position, however after beginning awkwardly she rode her mount along to obtain a favourable position, where the mare travelled strongly. However, shortly after straightening she attempted to improve to the inside of another runner but was disappointed for that run and as a result was held up for the entirety of the home straight and went to the finish without being tested. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
