On return to scale, A. Butler reported there was no obvious explanation for his mountts performance and he was of the opinion the travel had affected it after its previous start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg, with wounds to both hind bumpers and an elevated heart rate. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the horsees next start. |
