On return to scale jockey P. Romeo reported that approaching the first turn near the 900m, the bit pulled through the mouth of the filly and as a result took no competitive part in the event. Trainer B. Fitzgerald advised that the filly performs all trackwork in this bit however in light of today’s incident he gave an undertaking to stewards that he would now experiment with the horses bit prior to next start. Post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
