Hampered on jumping away. Had difficultly obtaining clear running passing the 400m when being awkwardly placed on the heels of SETHLANS. Was unable to be fully tested over the concluding stages after racing in restricted room. Trainer Mr A Jones was advised MAX ‘N’ MAT would require a further barrier certificate prior to accepting for a for a future race.

When asked to comment on the performance, rider L Miller reported the horse travelled fairly throughout the event, however when placed under pressure from the 600 metres, was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination of the horse revealed no abnormalities. Stable representative for trainer C Storch reported HARAMAIN is better suited to a sand track racing surface.
