Lakota Sioux  The start was delayed when the horse proved difficult to load. A warning was placed on the horse regarding its pre-race manners. Raced greenly and leaving the 800m improved onto heels and hung out. The horse then continued to race greenly and hang out and was unable to be fully tested in the home straight, resulting in the rider being obliged to stop riding on a number of occasions. Trainer Mr B. Wakefield was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse regarding its racing manners.

High Shady  Connections advised the horse would be ridden in the forward half of the field today if circumstances permit. The horse was unable to muster sufficient speed to cross runners to its inside and therefore had to be steadied leaving the 1200m and to secure a position closer to the fence took up a position at the tail of the field. Narcissus  Jockey D. Brown was questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the horse. He stated that his mount never travelled at any stage throughout the race and could offer no explanation for its disappointing performance. The only explanation trainer S. Iverson could offer was that the horse may not have backed up from its previous start on 29 November 2014.

Sine Timore  R Wilson questioned re tactics adopted as the horse led in today's event, which is in contrast to the horse's most recent racing pattern.He indicated that this was the horse's first start over more than a 1000m this preparation and as there was a lack of pace in the event and as the horse has had a tendency to be slow to begin at its most recent starts, he instructed S Elbeck to be aggressive in the early stages however, did not instruct her to lead. Mr Wilson was reprimanded and advised that in similar circumstances he would be expected to approach stewards with instructions of this nature.  Sunshine Coast  14/03/2015
