Curtailment  A post race veterinary examination of the filly, which compounded badly in the home straight, failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer K. Schweida advised that blood tests taken after the event revealed an elevated white blood cell count which indicated the onset of an infection. Dhahab  Jumped away awkwardly. Rider L. Tarrant was asked to comment on the disappointing performance of the filly. He indicated that after travelling well in the lead he felt the horse was a winning chance entering the home straight, however when asked for an effort the filly commenced to lay in and weakened badly over the final 300m. Tartan Warrior  Rider J. Byrne explained that the tempo mid-race was only moderate and as he has done previously he elected to allow the horse to stride forward from the 700m as the horse is not one that is able to sprint when the pace quickens. He said despite this TARTAN WARRIOR did not respond and was a beaten horse prior to the home turn and in his opinion was most disappointing. He added that there appeared to be no obvious issues with TARTAN WARRIOR other than in his opinion it raced like a tired horse and he had recommended to connections that the horse should be spelled. Water Kiss  Jumped away awkwardly and made contact with another runner. Inconvenienced after travelling a short distance by RILE , which shifted in. L. Everybody Happy  Inquiry re performance. Rider B. Appo stated that his mount began well but could not muster its customary early speed and as a result settled in a handy position with cover. He added that when pressured by TEARS after passing the 700m, the mare was immediately under pressure and did not respond to his riding from that point and was, in his view, disappointing. A post race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery rate.

Macka's Back  Rider L. Tarrant was questioned regarding the tactics adopted. He stated after beginning well he elected to allow his mount to stride forward and race near the lead. He added that the gelding had raced in a forward position in New Zealand.  Sunshine Coast  5/04/2015 
Pulsar  Initially slow to begin and then was severely hampered by SILLIQUA and lost ground. When asked to comment on the performance of the gelding, rider J. Byrne stated that despite suffering interference at the start he had anticipated settling in a midfield position. He was of the view he was forced to cover too much ground rounding the home turn and that his mount finished the race off fairly over the concluding stages. He was of the view that the gelding would appreciate a step up in distance at its next start.   Ipswich  25/03/2015 
Red Beretta  Eased from the heels of Exstratum, which shifted out shortly after the start and was then bumped by Autovon, which shifted out resulting in the gelding becoming momentarily unbalanced.

Stradam  rider stated that she intended to race in a forward position,
however her mount failed to muster sufficient early speed and settled at
the rear. She stated that it failed to travel in the middle stages and, whilst it did have some excuses, it sprinted
only fairly. Ms Jamieson stated that her mount raced like a
horse not interested in racing. When questioned, trainer Mr H. Norman stated the
mare had worked well and he was very disappointed with its performance. Mr
Norman added that the stable would assess the immediate racing future of the

mare in the coming days.
